It would be the first time the Springboks have played at One NZ Stadium and their first test in Christchurch since 2016.

The Springboks beat the All Blacks 3-1 in the recently completed Rugby’s Greatest Rivalry test series.
“We’re going to play them a lot leading into the World Cup and I think their side may look a tad different, but I think the nucleus will be the same and how they play the game, I think it’ll still be pretty similar,” Rennie said.
“And likely to meet in a quarter-final if both teams won their pool, which is odd, but the way it is.”
The All Blacks played France in their first-ever fixture at Christchurch’s new covered stadium, which was a sell-out of 30,000 fans, in July.
One NZ Stadium also hosted the Warriors in a regular-season NRL game this year.
Venues Ōtautahi, which runs the stadium, also said last month that tennis, ice hockey and even UFC could be coming to the city.
Chief executive Caroline Harvie-Teare said the stadium’s roof and infrastructure give it the flexibility to operate more like a large indoor arena.
“The likes of tennis, boxing, UFC, basketball, ice hockey, even eSports. All of those sporting genres are in the mix, which is really cool because not often can you have those types of events in a stadium,” she said.
The FIM World Supercross Championship is already confirmed for December, with competitors set to race on a track built inside the venue a week after British popstar Robbie Williams performs.
