The details are printed on the bottom of the box. No other Tip Top products are affected.
Tip Top Jelly Tip ice creams sold at Woolworths supermarkets across the North Island have been recalled over a bacteria risk.
Bacillus cereus in milk products usually causes diarrhoea, with symptoms appearing within one to six hours. Most people recover within 12 to 24 hours.
“As is our usual practice, NZFS will work with Tip Top Ice Cream Company to understand how the contamination occurred and prevent its recurrence,” Arbuckle said.
No associated illnesses have been reported and the ice creams were not exported.
Anyone who has eaten the affected ice creams and is concerned about their health should contact a health professional or call Healthline free on 0800 611 116.
