The animated Star Trek: Scouts returned for a new season on Star Trek Day. The Nick Jr. web series for preschoolers was a surprise debut last Star Trek Day. Today brings the first of 30 new 3-minute episodes planned for the second season, which was announced in July at SDCC.

Holodeck Rescue #14

In this new season, the three 8-year-old friends and Starfleet cadets in training, JR, Sprocket and Roo, continue their holodeck adventures, saving cute space critters. In this case they are taking on some robo-bros (inspired by Satan’s Robot from Voyager) who are being mean to some moonchucks, not letting them have a turn on the space b-ball court. Here is the synopsis:

Today the Scouts are facing off against robots in a game of basketball! Dribbling works a little differently in outer space where gravity is different. Can JR, Roo, and Sprocket use their gadgets and skills to win the game?

ICYMI: More new Scouts – pickles, meatballs, and mind control

There was a lot happening around Star Trek Day, so you may have missed the release of three episodes to launch the new season.

Scouts is available on Nickelodeon’s Blaze and the Monster Machines YouTube channel.
