Dr Iqbal Survé, chairman of Survé Group Holdings, will host the Andrei Stenin International Press Photo Contest Exhibition 2026 in Durban on Tuesday, featuring 30 award-winning photographs by young photojournalists from around the world on display for the first time in the city.

The exhibition will feature photographs capturing human resilience, culture and tradition across countries and continents.

The exhibition will open to the public from October 7 to 23 at KZN Media House on Osborne Road, Greyville, and will be free to enter

Established in memory of photojournalist Andrei Stenin, the international contest provides a platform for emerging photographers to share their stories across borders.

The exhibition is being presented in partnership with Sputnik News Agency, NMG, ANA and IOL.

The organisers said the contest demonstrates photojournalism’s power to bear witness, deepen understanding and connect people through shared humanity.

“Through the lenses of talented young photojournalists, the collection traverses countries and continents, capturing human resilience, culture and tradition,” the organisers said.

The exhibition is being held under the theme “A Shared Future for Humanity ‘Communis Humanitas’”.
