Blink-182’s Travis Barker reveals cubital tunnel surgery after hand numbness

  • October 8, 2026

“I did a nerve test Monday after my show and turns out I needed a cubital tunnel release to fix the nerve.”

The procedure is “used to treat cubital tunnel syndrome”, which happens when patients have a “pinched nerve at their elbow (ulnar nerve) and typically complain of numbness in the small finger and sometimes the ring finger”, according to OrthoInfo.

Travis said: “I wanted to get ahead of it and get it over with so that I can keep playing the way I play for a long long time.

“Should be good in a few weeks.”

Referring to the picture of himself and Kardashian, the All the Small Things hitmaker joked: “Not sure why my wife looks so happy about this”.

On Wednesday, Barker shared a shot of himself in hospital on his Instagram Stories, with Alabama pouting on a chair and on the phone beside him.

He captioned the selfie: “My baby girl came with me”.

He followed it with a photo of Barker kissing Kardashian as the rocker sat up in bed, a blood pressure cuff on his arm.

He captioned the upload: “And my beautiful wife by my side”.

In February 2023, Barker had surgery to repair his injured finger and gave his Instagram followers a glimpse at his recovery, including physical therapy and a finger brace.

He wrote on the social media platform: “Surgery tomorrow”.

Kardashian replied to the post with a series of prayer hands and heart emojis.

Barker injured the finger this month while rehearsing with his band for Blink-182’s reunion tour.

He wrote on X: “I was playing the drums at rehearsals yesterday and I smashed my finger so hard I dislocated it and tore the ligaments.”

In June 2024, Kardashian needed emergency foetal surgery because their son Rocky had “fluid in his lungs”.

On an episode of The Kardashians, she said: “We had a terrifying scare.

“It’s super rare – the condition that he had – but it’s also super rare and lucky that we caught it. Thank you, God, for a successful surgery.

“I’m honestly just so grateful, I have no words.”

The operation was a success, but Kardashian was “filled with fear” in the aftermath and even more so when the symptoms returned.

She said: “The fluid in his lungs actually did start coming back.

“Then I watched this documentary called Heal that was all about the power of positive thinking and how our thinking can really affect our health.”

Kardashian’s outlook changed as she decided to remain positive for the future.

She said: “I started talking to the baby every day, saying my prayers.

“After I had that mindset shift, the fluid was completely gone, and we had not one single problem after.”

Barker has Alabama and son Landon, 22, with his 51-year-old ex-wife, actor Shanna Moakler, and is stepdad to her 27-year-old daughter, Atiana De La Hoya, with boxer Oscar De La Hoya, 53.

Kardashian, meanwhile, has sons Mason, 16, Penelope, 14, and Reign, 11, with her 43-year-old former partner, media personality Scott Disick.
