Lyndon Bond’s 100th win as a trainer was far from just another victory.

The Mataura horseman completed the feat when Rack’em Up went one place better than his huge second at Gore last weekend in the finale at Ascot Park on Thursday.

The victory was an emotional one for the Bond family, especially the trainer’s daughter Chloe and her partner Kamryn Reedy, who share in the ownership of Rack’em Up.

“Chloe’s partner Kamryn, his mother lost her husband three weeks ago; it’s very tragic,” Bond said.

“To have her here today is amazing; it really is.”

Bond was quick to praise his family’s involvement in his stable and their contribution to him cracking a ton of training victories.

“My wife Aimee does a hell of a lot of work in the background and I appreciate everything.”

“James and Millie, the whole family get in behind me and they do a bit every day.”

“That’s what makes it more emotional when you get the hundy.”

Recently, Bond has struck up a good relationship with driver Carter Dalgety, who piloted Rack’em Up to victory.

The pacer came to the Bond stable after recently being trained by Andrew Drake, who works alongside Carter at Cran and Chrissie Dalgety’s barn.

“He’s a great old horse and I thank Andrew Drake and his partner for giving him to us.”

Chloe Bond and Kamryn Reedy race Rack’em Up with Craig, Tanya and Dylan Heyrick as well as the trainer’s mother Colleen Bond.

Colleen Bond is the wife of Jimmy Bond who enjoyed a stellar training and driving career in Southland.

Lyndon has kept the Bond name up in lights, beginning with his first training win with Martin McGuinness at Forbury Park in 2015.

The trainer has built his team up since and now looks a huge chance of posting a personal best when the current season ends.

Reflecting on his achievement, Bond was absolutely thrilled.

“It’s pretty awesome – it really is.”

“It has taken a while to break it, a couple of times we thought we would get there.”

Rack’em Up’s victory was Bond’s 15th of 2026.

The trainer’s best season came in 2022 when he posted 17 wins.
