ONE particular Supercars driver’s name is being linked to opportunities aboard the #6 NASCAR Cup Series seat which Brad Keselowski will vacate at year’s end.
That’s the word in the States, per the Door Bumper Clear podcast.
V8 Sleuth understands it’s more likely in the capacity of a two-race road course campaign with RFK Racing than a full-season program in 2027.
“Interestingly enough, I have been hearing an Australian driver’s name mentioned a heck of a lot around that #6 car for next year,” said Freddie Kraft, who is Bubba Wallace’s full-time spotter.
“It’s not SVG (Shane van Gisbergen).
“I think he’s from Australia. He runs in Australian Supercars. But I’ve heard that name mentioned a little bit, so it will be interesting to see how that plays out.”
The identity of the driver is unclear, although there are a couple of logical candidates.
Cam Waters represented RFK at Sonoma in 2024, while Broc Feeney was a guest of RFK at this year’s Sonoma event.
Keselowski meanwhile is being tipped to sell his stake in RFK and reunite with Dodge.
The 2027 Cup Series calendar includes road courses at Circuit of the Americas (March 7), Sonoma (July 11) and Watkins Glen (September 19) plus the San Diego street course on August 1.
