A new wellbeing service has opened in Victoria for people experiencing mental health difficulties or loneliness.
Based at Dar Manresa, the service is being run by the Diocese of Gozo in collaboration with Caritas Gozo.
It is intended to provide a safe and welcoming space where people can socialise, make new friends and take part in educational, social and cultural activities.
Organisers said the initiative was launched after identifying a need for greater support for people who are going through, or have previously experienced, mental health challenges, as well as those who feel socially isolated.
Activities include art, music, crafts, cooking, exercise, walks, gardening and relaxation sessions, as well as outings and activities within the community.
Participants will also be able to learn practical skills for everyday life and will be encouraged to take part according to their interests, abilities and pace.
The service is led by Jeanette Falzon, who will support participants and encourage them to develop their skills
The service is offered on Mondays and Tuesdays between 11:30am and 4:30pm, and Wednesdays and Thursdays between 7.30am and 12.30pm. To avail of the service, call Caritas on 21551723 or 79771723.
