The driver of the minivan pulled over and stopped, while the dashcam owner did a U-turn and pulled up behind them. The footage ended there.
It’s alleged a tourist was to blame.
Police told the Herald they weren’t immediately aware of the incident.

One Reddit user commented: “Did you get out and yell at them? Geesus H Christ”.
Another took aim at apparent tourists: “How the f*** are you going to go to another country, get a car, and go driving on the wrong f***ing side of the road? It’s not like some complex puzzle.”
Others argued drivers should always be driving on the side of the centre line.
“As a driver, you should be sitting on the side closest to the middle of the road. If you find yourself driving along and you’re sitting right on the side of the road and you’re not aware something’s wrong then I don’t know what to tell you.”
Police say they have no record of a reported incident.
In August, a car was filmed travelling the wrong way along Christchurch’s Southern Motorway as traffic approached from the opposite direction.
The footage shows the vehicle continuing along the wrong carriageway while vehicles travelling in the correct direction approach it.
At times, other motorists can be seen passing the vehicle as it continues along the motorway.
Two months prior, a vehicle was captured on dashcam in two close head-on misses in the space of minutes as a driver tried to pass a tractor towing a trailer on a rural Auckland road.
