RNZ reported it understood one of the patients had been taken to Starship children’s hospital.
Cordons have been established around the playground in Myers Park. The park runs between Queen St and Greys Ave, from Mayoral Drive towards Karangahape Rd.

Police said the incident was isolated and there was no ongoing risk to the public.
Auckland Central MP Chlöe Swarbrick earlier said she had been in contact with local police about the incident.
“I’ve been in touch with our local police about the serious assault that has just occurred in Myer’s Park,” she wrote on Facebook.
“The alleged perpetrator is in police custody … They have asked me to ensure our community knows that the response was swift and there is no ongoing threat.”
Police inquiries are continuing.
