The current cast of quizzmasters includes: “The Beast” Mark Labbett, “The Dark Destroyer” Shaun Wallace, “The Governess” Anne Hegerty, “The Sinnerman” Paul Sinha, “The Vixen” Jenny Ryan, and “The Menace” Darragh Ennis.
The Chasers (from left): Shaun Wallace, Darragh Ennis, Anne Hegerty, Paul Sinha, Jenny Ryan and Mark Labbett.
The contestants answer multiple-choice questions to build up their cash total in the first round, then decide how many chasers they want to face in the second round, depending on the offers they receive.
The first round ends when they miss a question or get five right.
Answering all the questions correctly can lead to a “super offer” of up to £600,000 ($1.4 million).
The show has been a hit since it first aired in 2020.
Its success is hardly surprising considering the popularity of The Chase, which is a favourite among Kiwi audiences.
A New Zealand version of The Chase is set to hit screens later this year, with Paul Henry as host and The Governess and Issa Schultz “The Supernerd” confirmed as chasers.
The four-part series was filmed in Sydney this year and will begin showing on TVNZ 1 and TVNZ+ on November 3.
