The original charming macho man of Bollywood Dharmendra and ‘Dream Girl’ Hema Malini’s marriage has been a subject of interest in film buffs. Dharmendra who was already wedded with Prakash Kaur tied the knot with Hema Malini in December 1980 in a quiet ceremony. He had embraced Islam so that he could marry twice. In a recent interview, Bobby Deol said that Dharmendra is not lonely. He said he lives in his farmhouse in the middle of nature. His first wife, Prakash Kaur is by his side. He said he hardly lives with Hema Malini, who is busy with her political work. She lives in her own bungalow.

The Sholay actress said that she had met Dharmendra’s mother outside a studio once. She was pregnant and she got the blessings of her mother-in-law.
Hema Malini said she has always been respectful of Prakash Kaur’s standing in the life of Dharmendra. She never tried to break his ties with his wife and children. Prakash Kaur and Dharmendra had four children –Sunny Deol, Bobby Deol, daughters Vijeta and Ajeita.
