Kylie Jenner has officially revived her King Kylie era for the 10th anniversary of Kylie Cosmetics.
In 2016, she released a commercial featuring the song “3 Strikes” by Terror Jr., which fans theorized was Kylie singing under a pseudonym.
Kylie and the original singer behind Terror Jr., Lisa Vitale, have since teamed up on a new song, “Fourth Strike,” inspired by the original rumor.
Once upon a time, Kylie Jenner was a newly minted 18-year-old with dreams of launching her own cosmetics line. The year was 2015, and she released her Kylie Lip Kits after hitting red carpets and events with her signature full lips and teal hair. A moment of silence for the icon, otherwise known as King Kylie:

A decade later, the reality TV personality has (nearly) become a member of the three-commas club thanks to her beauty venture. (Billionaire rumors have since been debunked, but she’s still filthy rich.) Now, she’s celebrating the 10th anniversary of Kylie Cosmetics by reviving her fan-favorite King Kylie persona and recreating her “GLOSSES” commercial with an all-new song and music video for “Fourth Strike.” Confused as to how we landed here, or if Kylie Jenner is officially in her pop star era? Allow us to break down the lore.
Did Kylie Jenner sing “3 Strikes” in her Kylie Cosmetics commercial?
In March 2016, fans were convinced that Kylie was the voice behind the song in her outlaw-inspired ad, “3 Strikes.” At the time, the actual artists, Terror Jr., denied that Kylie “Rise and Shine” Jenner laid down vocals on the track.
Eight years later, Kylie started revisiting her beloved King Kylie era by posting TikToks singing along to “3 Strikes.” The band’s lead singer, Lisa Vitale, then reacted and thanked the beauty mogul for showing love to their song in 2016.
“I just want to say thank you because eight years ago, I was working at an animal hospital,” Lisa said in a TikTok posted in March 2024. “I was making music on nights and weekends, and then you put my band’s song in your lip gloss commercial and my whole life changed.”
Kylie even left a comment on Lisa’s video, writing, “love u guys.” Which brings us to…
Did Kylie Jenner sing “Fourth Strike” with Terror Jr.?
Nearly a decade after her first commercial dropped, Kylie officially teamed up with Terror Jr. for a whole new song, “Fourth Strike.” In an Instagram post, she revealed that this was her first foray into music after fans speculated she sang on the original track.
“There was a little rumor 10 years ago that i was the one actually singing on 3 strikes! it wasn’t me (wish it was) so i had the idea to come together for fourth strike and it would actually be ME FEATURED!” Kylie wrote alongside a photo dump featuring footage from the recording process.
Yep, you read that correctly. This time, Kylie actually sings on the song, and we couldn’t be more obsessed. Whether she’s going to keep this pop star thing going is unclear, but in the meantime, we’ll be running back “Fourth Strike” like it’s 2016.
