A must-see lunar spectacle is at hand, and people in the city can view this event. A full moon is expected to arrive later this month, and you will be able to witness its glow from one coast to another. A full moon is always an impressive sight but when a supermoon looms above us, the glow is intensified, and you can even feel the enlarged presence of the moon.

A full moon that will be enjoyed by all

The Beaver Supermoon will more than likely have this effect on those who encounter it. The moon plays a large part in all our lives, from the way it pushes and pulls the waters of our oceans to how we might be feeling as the moon progresses through its 28-day cycle. The full moon has been referred to as many things over the decades, names bestowed upon it that allude to the season, like ‘frost’ or ‘cold moon’, for example.

This particular supermoon will be a magnificent occurrence. Depending on where you are situated and if the conditions are just right, skywatchers across the country will be able to take in a splendid sight with the moon giving off a glow that will have a stunning clarity to it, especially for the season in which this is happening. Just after the sun sets or in the early evening is when you can expect it to rise, depending on where you are.

When you can expect to see the Beaver Supermoon

The Beaver Supermoon will provide one of the more memorable moments of the lunar calendar this year. It should peak on November 5 and 8:19am EST will be the best time to view it. It should be visible in the evening prior to this in certain places. It is a supermoon, which means it appears larger in the sky and closer to the Earth. This will be more evident as the Beaver Supermoon will take place close to perigee, which is when the moon orbits closer to the Earth than it usually does.

You should be able to see it in the city, but darker places are always better to maximize a viewing experience. A spot that offers elevation will also add to the moment.

The most suitable places to enjoy the wonders of the Beaver Supermoon

The bright lights of the city will always detract from a sky viewing experience, so if you are serious about enjoying this supermoon, then a darker place is perfect for it. The moon will be lower in the sky just after sunset, and although cameras and binoculars will help, this supermoon can be enjoyed with the naked eye.

Viewers along the Pacific and Atlantic shores will have their experience amplified by the glow of the moon skipping across the vast waters of the ocean. Further inland, open plains and grassy lands will also be radiated by the mesmerizing glow of this supermoon.

What makes the Beaver Supermoon so special?

This is to be the third of three supermoons this year. The last one we enjoyed was the Harvest Supermoon. The Beaver Supermoon can signify the ending of fall and the beginning of winter, to some, which further cements its significance.

The Beaver Supermoon will appear larger than average and should be bigger in diameter by about 7 to 10% given that this supermoon is happening so close to perigee.

November 5 is sure to be an evening for skywatchers to revel in and even for the rest of us who perhaps are not quite as seasoned as the avid watcher of the heavens, but enjoy the beauty of nature, nonetheless. Be sure to step outside and look to the sky on this day as the Beaver Supermoon will be a sight to remember.
