Software group RecordPoint has acquired Blackbird-backed Redactive, a Melbourne-based security startup which helps companies manage new data threats posed by artificial intelligence.
Co-founded by former Atlassian product managers, Redactive operates a developer platform which lets engineers and data governance teams set guardrails for new AI tools, such as agents and copilots, as they are rolled out. Financial terms were not disclosed.
RecordPoint, a document management scaleup for highly regulated companies, said the move bolsters its AI capabilities as it looks to better serve its clients that range from big four banks to federal regulators.
“Governments, major banks… there’s a lot of scrutiny about how they’re handling sensitive data,” RecordPoint chief executive Anthony Woodward told Capital Brief.
