Wally O’Neill is a Duncormick man who has run Red Books, an independent store, in St Peter’s Square in the heart of Wexford, for almost a decade. It is located in a discrete premises, effectively sandwiched between Wexford town’s iconic churches.

When Jeff Bezos founded Amazon in 1994, the way books were sold was transformed. Despite the hundreds of billions of dollars it now makes, Wally chuckles that his little store is still proudly in business.
