Meghan Markle and Prince Harry’s employee turnover is at an all-time high, prompting questions about their leadership.
One of Markle’s most recent hires has already quit after barely three months of working for the Duke and Duchess of Sussex.
The ex-employee joins a long line of communication staffers who were hired to work for the Sussexes in one capacity or another but quit within a short time.

In June, Emily Robinson left Netflix to join Meghan Markle and Prince Harry’s team as their Director of Communications. However, it has been confirmed that she has now jumped ship.
Robinson previously worked on “The Crown,” which raised eyebrows for depicting controversial narratives about the Royal Family, but the Sussexes didn’t seem to mind.
A close friend of Robinson, who lives in Los Angeles, gave insight into the reason behind her resignation, suggesting the royal couple operated a toxic work environment. “It was her decision. She left a few weeks ago. She’s not a quitter, so things must have been pretty horrible for her to go,” the source told the Daily Mail.

Notably, following her brief stint with Markle and Harry, Robinson’s LinkedIn profile failed to mention her work history with the Duke and Duchess of Sussex. However, it lists other roles she has previously occupied.
Although the exact reason for Robinson’s sudden departure is unknown, according to PEOPLE Magazine, a spokesperson for the Duke and Duchess of Sussex said the publicist performed well during her time with them.
“Ms. Robinson oversaw project-based work for a very successful season of With Love, Meghan, and additional support for the production company. She did an excellent job and completed these projects with great success,” the spokesperson said.
Besides Robinson, deputy press secretary Kyle Boulia and U.K. press officer Charlie Gipson also stepped down from their roles in Markle and Harry’s team just one year after joining them. This has led to many eye throws being raised over the couple’s leadership style.

News of Robinson’s resignation comes over a month after Prince Harry lost another crucial member of his team.
In early September, The Blast reported that the prince’s eco-travel nonprofit Travalyst lost its CEO, Sally Davey, who had worked with the company for five years.
An insider noted that Davey’s resignation was a shock and a “huge blow” to the company, as she played a major role in its success over the years.
Speaking about her decision to leave Travalyst, Davey said she had “reached a point in my journey where I know I need to give more time back to my family, and to myself.”
She also spoke warmly about Prince Harry and thanked him for supporting her in her decision to step down from the executive role. Davey praised the Duke as a “confidant” and a “guide,” and expressed pride in what she built together with him and the rest of the team during her time at Travalyst.

Davey’s departure from Travalyst came on the heels of the company’s chairman’s resignation, which was announced earlier this year.
Besides the chairman, Harry’s chief of staff, Josh Kettler, also stepped down from his role in the company last summer after working for just three months.
Although the high rate of employee turnover raises questions about the Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s leadership style, Kettler insists that he had a pleasant experience working with them.
He shared that he received a warm welcome from the couple and praised their dedication to their work, calling it “impressive to witness.”

Employee turnover aside, Prince Harry also seems to be losing connections and networks on a larger scale.
Earlier this month, The Blast confirmed that Chad ended its partnership with African Parks, a nonprofit organization that has ties to Prince Harry.
African Parks had managed the Ennedi Natural and Cultural Reserve and the Greater Zakouma Ecosystem for 15 years before terminating the partnership due to insufficient funding and inadequate action to protect the reserves.
Prince Harry joined African Parks in 2016 and served for six years as its president. He is now a member of the organization’s board.
