Auckland FC have their first win of their second A-League season, accounting for Western Sydney Wanderers 1-0 in their home-opener at Go Media Stadium.<\/p>\n

Striker Jesse Randall provided the only goal of the contest, when he slotted a right-foot effort from the edge of the penalty area in the 22nd minute, guiding it inside the left post.<\/p>\n

The Black Knights almost had a second in the dying moments, when Guillermo May beat Western Sydney goalkeeper Lawrence Thomas with a curling left foot, but was denied by the right post.<\/p>\n

After a goal-less draw against Melbourne Victory last week, keeper Michael Woud completed another clean sheet and his team sat atop the table for now.<\/p>\n

Next Saturday, they host Adelaide United at Go Media Stadium.<\/p>\n
