With Wear OS 6 not available on the Pixel Watch, Google is rolling out an October 2025 update to the original device.<\/p>\n
This is still Wear OS 5.1 based on Android 15 and the first update since June<\/a>: BW1A.251005.003.W1. However, the Android security patch level remains at\u00a0June 5, 2025.<\/p>\n Over the course of its life, the Pixel Watch got Wear OS 3.5 (Android 11), Wear OS 4 (Android 13), Wear OS 5 (Android 14), Wear OS 5.1 (Android 15).<\/p>\n The Pixel Watch gets three years of updates (which is still the case for this year\u2019s model), and this should be the last guaranteed release for the 2022 device. It will miss out on the Material 3 Expressive redesign, but apps will continue to get updated via the Play Store.\u00a0<\/p>\n \tAdvertisement – scroll for more content<\/p>\n As always, tapping the \u201cYour watch is up to date\u201d screen (Settings > System > System updates) multiple times<\/a> initiates the download.
