\n\tJessica Simpson<\/a> spoke about her recent reunion with ex-husband Eric Johnson<\/a> while on the red carpet at the MTV VMAs but also shared an update about her relationship status.<\/p>\n

\n\tSimpson told E! News<\/a> that she and Johnson are one \u201cbig, happy family\u201d after their divorce. Simpson was asked about spending time with Johnson and her parents at her sister Ashlee Simpson\u2019s I Am Me residency in Las Vegas.<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cWe are all a big, happy family, so it\u2019s important for all of us,\u201d she said. \u201cWe wouldn\u2019t have missed Ashlee, are you kidding me? It was such a moment,\u201d she added of seeing her younger sister perform. \u201cI was a mess. I cried probably seven times.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tIn a separate interview on the VMAs red carpet, Simpson, 45, also spoke about her relationship status<\/a>, confirming that she\u2019s single.<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cI\u2019m single, so everybody is sexy right now,\u201d Simpson told People<\/a> after being asked who should be on the cover of People\u2018s next Sexiest Man Alive issue. Simpson then listed out a few of her celebrity crushes, including, Charlie Hunnam, James Franco, and Jamie Dornan. <\/p>\n

\n\tSimpson has been single since revealing her separation from Johnson<\/a> in January. \u201cEric and I have been living separately navigating a painful situation in our marriage,\u201d she said in a statement at the time. \u201cOur children come first, and we are focusing on what is best for them. We are grateful for all of the love and support that has been coming our way, and appreciate privacy right now as we work through this as a family.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tThe exes, who married in 2014, share three children: daughter Maxwell Drew, 13; son Ace Knute, 12; and daughter Birdie Mae, 6.<\/p>\n
