{"id":10624,"date":"2025-09-09T00:25:11","date_gmt":"2025-09-09T00:25:11","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/nz\/10624\/"},"modified":"2025-09-09T00:25:11","modified_gmt":"2025-09-09T00:25:11","slug":"hawkes-bay-gang-violence-three-still-in-hospital-after-assaults","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/nz\/10624\/","title":{"rendered":"Hawke\u2019s Bay gang violence: Three still in hospital after assaults"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"VYEVUgvTMz\" style=\"display:none\">Eastern District Crime Manager Detective Inspector Martin James said police had found a vehicle believed to be involved in the serious assault on \u014cm\u0101hu Rd, and a forensic examination of the vehicle is currently under way.<\/p>\n<p class=\"VYEVUgvTMz\" style=\"display:none\">Following the incidents, a gang conflict warrant was put in place on Friday to give police special powers to search vehicles of suspected gang members.<\/p>\n<p class=\"VYEVUgvTMz\" style=\"display:none\">James said police had since used the warrant 10 times, resulting in knives, hammers, and other weapons, alongside methamphetamine, being located.<\/p>\n<p class=\"VYEVUgvTMz\" style=\"display:none\">Six people had been charged with offences following the searches.<\/p>\n<p class=\"VYEVUgvTMz\" style=\"display:none\">Additional police staff remain in the area as inquiries into the incidents continue.
