Hines, 60, stopped by the ABC talk show on Tuesday, Oct. 14, while promoting her new book, Unscripted, and was asked about her husband, Robert F. Kennedy Jr.<\/a>, and his relationship with President Donald Trump<\/a>.<\/p>\n For the Curb Your Enthusiasm star \u2014 who fielded questions from The View hosts <\/a>about her husband’s stance on vaccines and her reaction to him joining the Trump’s administration<\/a> \u2014 the visit was disappointing.<\/p>\n \u201cYou know, I was actually hoping that it was going to be more personal on The View,” Hines said on the Hot Mics with Billy Bush podcast. “But it was what it was.”<\/p>\n She claimed the hosts \u2014 Sunny Hostin<\/a>, Whoopi Goldberg<\/a>, Joy Behar<\/a>, Sara Haines<\/a> and Alyssa Farah Griffin<\/a> \u2014\u00a0“just wanted to grill me about Bobby.\u201d<\/p>\n ABC<\/p>\n Cheryl Hines on ‘The View’<\/p>\n Podcast host Billy Bush then asked if Hines can “tell when someone hasn\u2019t read your book,” to which she said, “Yes.”<\/p>\n “I mean, I don\u2019t think the ladies on The View asked me one question about my book,” she added. “But, you know, that\u2019s okay.\u201d<\/p>\n During her interview on The View, Hines said she’s “not been a political person” in the past and that her husband’s decision to end his campaign for president and endorse Trump<\/a> was a “very difficult” one.<\/p>\n \u201cAt the end of the day, President Trump and Bobby sat down and talked, and yes, they did have a lot of common goals,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n \u201cI was guarded about it,” she added of her husband’s decision, which she called a “leap of faith” given he was a Democrat when she first met him in 2006. “It was complicated, right?
