Andy Cohen<\/a> is teasing the Jandy shippers<\/a> on the latest episode of Call Her Daddy<\/a>. Cohen and John Mayer have an unlikely friendship. It\u2019s like when zookeepers give cheetahs emotional-support dogs, if the main thing the cheetah and dog had in common was a love of the Grateful Dead. Both men have said, again and again, that the vibes are strictly platonic. But that doesn\u2019t stop them from being physically affectionate or, as Mr. Bravo put it, \u201ca puddle of laughter.\u201d Cohen told Alex Cooper<\/a> that the two went out to dinner at the Sunset Tower recently, \u201cand I was getting so physical with him by the end that he was like, \u2018Andy.\u2019\u201d The WWHL host clarified that he \u201cwas kinda using him to tell a story about a guy.\u201d Cohen also mentioned that when he and Mayer go out to dinner, they sit on the same side of the booth.<\/p>\n Cooper did her job and asked Cohen if there\u2019s ever been anything romantic between the two. \u201cNo, we love each other,\u201d he replied. \u201cIf I could find a gay guy that was him, it would be magic. But you know what? I\u2019m so grateful for the love that we have.\u201d Mayer previously defended the friendship in a 2024 letter to The Hollywood Reporter<\/a>, criticizing a question the mag had asked Cohen in a profile. \u201cI think that to suggest that people are dubious of a friendship like mine and Andy\u2019s is to undermine the public\u2019s ability to accept and understand diversity in all facets of culture, be it in art or in real life,\u201d he wrote. \u201cI\u2019d like to think they\u2019re sophisticated enough to see a relationship like ours without assuming it must include a sexual component.\u201d Somehow, that hasn\u2019t stopped<\/a> the fan<\/a> edits<\/a>.<\/p>\n Related<\/p>\n
