Photo \/ Doug Laing<\/p>\n<p class=\"MbfQjTgmSESMkkDykl\" style=\"display:none\">In an area mixing cottages well over a century old with modern, two-story seafront homes, some property sales in recent years have been in the $1.5 million to $2 million range.<\/p>\n<p class=\"MbfQjTgmSESMkkDykl\" style=\"display:none\">Meanwhile, numbers of applicants on the Ministry of Social Development\u2019s housing register in need of a home in Napier increased in the quarter to the end of September, the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nzherald.co.nz\/hawkes-bay-today\/news\/a-hundred-new-kainga-ora-homes-built-in-napier-in-the-past-year\/AO47IBEZXBAXXKPII6T55SNCJU\/\" target=\"_self\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" title=\"https:\/\/www.nzherald.co.nz\/hawkes-bay-today\/news\/a-hundred-new-kainga-ora-homes-built-in-napier-in-the-past-year\/AO47IBEZXBAXXKPII6T55SNCJU\/\">first increase since December 2023<\/a>.
