In a Thursday, October 30, Instagram<\/a> video, Lisa Ling<\/a> revealed that she was let go from the network the day prior. \u201cNow, this didn\u2019t entirely surprise me, because I wasn\u2019t a full-time employee, but rather a contributor, and we\u2019re easy to cut,\u201d she told fans. \u201cMy heart, though, goes out to all of those who had been working at the network<\/a> for many, many years.\u201d<\/p>\n She continued, \u201cI worked with some wonderful people at CBS, and I was so proud of the multi-part series I was able to do on caregiving, psychedelic healing, and the state of spirituality, among so many other segments, things so relevant to so many of us.\u201d<\/p>\n Inspired by many of her past reports<\/a> being about \u201chealing,\u201d Ling announced that he is \u201cdeveloping a platform that will go into even greater depth on a whole range of issues related to intergenerational strength and healing.\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cI\u2019ll be announcing it in the coming months, and I truly, truly hope that you\u2019ll join me in getting stronger here, here, and here,\u201d she said while motioning to her arm, head, and heart. \u201cThanks so much.\u201d<\/p>\n Fans sent their well-wishes to Ling in the post\u2019s comments. \u201cA big loss for broadcast \u2764\ufe0f\u2764\ufe0f\u2764\ufe0f,\u201d one person wrote, while another added, \u201cYou have an enormous amount of grace, Lisa, you such an inspiration. Additionally, Variety<\/a> reported on Thursday that CBS Mornings cohost Gayle King<\/a> is expected to depart the series<\/a> when her contract expires in May 2026.<\/p>\n A CBS News spokesperson denied the reports about King\u2019s future on the show in a statement to the outlet. \u201cThere have been no discussions with Gayle about her contract that runs through May 2026,\u201d they shared. \u201cShe\u2019s a truly valued part of CBS and we look forward to engaging with her about the future.\u201d<\/p>\n \t\t\t
