It\u2019s just chipping away now. It\u2019s been a long haul to get where we are, and there\u2019s still a lot to go, but the morale\u2019s up, the teams are all pretty happy you know. Everyone\u2019s giving each other a bit of stick.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"MbfQjTgmSESMkkDykl\" style=\"display:none\">On Friday afternoon, teams were working to restore power at Mitchell Rd in a rural area of Southland, just north of Riverton\/Aparima.<\/p>\n<p class=\"MbfQjTgmSESMkkDykl\" style=\"display:none\">Emergency Management has described the restoration as complex because of widespread damage, and Wylie said there were challenges such as water pooling on the sides of roads \u2013 areas where they tended to operate.<\/p>\n<p><img  alt=\"Fred Allan and Josidy Tallada are among the workers improving the outlook for those still without power in Southland.
