{"id":11524,"date":"2025-09-09T10:46:05","date_gmt":"2025-09-09T10:46:05","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/nz\/11524\/"},"modified":"2025-09-09T10:46:05","modified_gmt":"2025-09-09T10:46:05","slug":"spinal-taps-reunion-on-kimmel-came-with-a-pointed-trump-burn-2","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/nz\/11524\/","title":{"rendered":"Spinal Tap\u2019s Reunion On \u2018Kimmel\u2019 Came With A Pointed Trump Burn"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Fictional rock band Spinal Tap reunited on \u201cJimmy Kimmel Live!\u201d Monday night and managed to work in an unexpected jab at one of President <a href=\"https:\/\/www.huffpost.com\/news\/topic\/donald-trump\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Donald Trump<\/a>\u2019s most controversial policies.<\/p>\n<p>Rob Reiner, Christopher Guest, Michael McKean and Harry Shearer appeared in character as Marty DiBergi, Nigel Tufnel, David St. Hubbins and Derek Smalls to promote \u201cSpinal Tap II: The End Continues,\u201d the long-awaited sequel to the cult 1984 mockumentary \u201cThis Is Spinal Tap.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Talk turned to the spoof group\u2019s backstage rider, which includes 12 packs of Dentyne Ice gum.
