Strictly Come Dancing<\/a> viewers have made their feelings clear after Ellie Goldstein<\/a> became the fifth celebrity contestant to be eliminated from the 2025 series.<\/p>\n

The 23-year-old model departed the popular BBC reality series \u2013 along with pro partner Vito Coppola \u2013 at the end of Sunday night\u2019s (2 November) results show, after losing a dance-off to Balvinder Sopal and Julian Caillon. <\/p>\n

Goldstein, the first person with Down\u2019s syndrome to compete in the main series of Strictly, performed a tango to Lady Gaga\u2019s \u201cAbracadabra\u201d, while Sopal danced a rumba to \u201cStay\u201d by Shakespears Sister.<\/p>\n

A unanimous decision among the judges saw Goldstein voted off the show, though Head Judge Shirley Ballas noted that she had been \u201coutstanding\u201d throughout the series.<\/p>\n

After their elimination, Coppola told Goldstein: \u201cHonestly, there are no words I can use to describe how proud I am of you, and you did really change my life so much. You made me such a better person. At the beginning of this year, I said to myself \u2018Please, please, please can you send me a beautiful angel into my life?\u2019 And now you [have] arrived.\u201d <\/p>\n

He continued: \u201cI’ve never had a little sister but I always wanted one. Now, I have you and you’re my little sister forever, and your big brother is always by your side.\u201d <\/p>\n

Viewers generally seemed to agree with the verdict, with many expressing sympathy for Goldstein.<\/p>\n

\u201cDefinitely the right result in all honesty,\u201d one person wrote. \u201cEllie should be so proud of all she has achieved on Strictly. She has done very well!\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cWell that was a very sweet moment. Everyone rallying around ellie after announcing she\u2019s in the dance off. They proper care about each other,\u201d commented another.<\/p>\n

\u201cEllie\u2019s handling this like an absolute trouper. had a moment of upset and got herself together and said \u2018i\u2019m grateful\u2019 so proud of her,\u201d another person wrote.<\/p>\n

Goldstein herself spoke positively of the experience, saying: \u201cI’ve enjoyed it so much! [Vito] is a kind person and all I wanted from day one. You have been so heartwarming, thank you to you.\u201d <\/p>\n
