Police have recovered the body of a tramper who died on the West Coast.<\/p>\n

The 27-year-old left for the Fox River area on Thursday and was later reported overdue.<\/p>\n

Senior Sergeant Mark Kirkwood said her vehicle was found at the Fox River carpark.<\/p>\n

“Police Search and Rescue conducted a search of the area, along with a helicopter, a Land Search and Rescue dog team and local Surf Life Saving,” he said.<\/p>\n

“She was sighted nearby by a Police Search and Rescue member.”<\/p>\n

Searchers recovered the woman’s body from the Fox River about 2pm on Saturday.<\/p>\n

Formal identification is ongoing and her death will be referred to the coroner.<\/p>\n
