On Nov. 3, anchors past and present gathered at 7 Hudson Square in New York City to mark the show’s milestone birthday. Former anchors Diane Sawyer<\/a>, Charlie Gibson and Joan Lunden<\/a> joined anchors Robin Roberts<\/a>, Michael Strahan<\/a> and George Stephanopoulos<\/a>, along with other GMA faces, like Lara Spencer<\/a>, Sam Champion<\/a> and Ginger Zee<\/a>.<\/p>\n Spencer, 56, who has been a part of the GMA family for over two decades, tells PEOPLE the morning’s broadcast was a “pinch-me moment, big time,” in more ways than one. “To look over and see Diane, Charlie, Joan, Nancy [Dussault] \u2014 it just was a trip down memory lane, not only for me as a member of the GMA family, but also before that, growing up with GMA and watching with my family,” she says.<\/p>\n Lara Spencer at the ‘Good Morning America’ 50th anniversary celebration on Nov. 03, 2025<\/p>\n The morning’s show was also “a really fun party behind the scenes,” Spencer reveals. “[During] every single commercial break, we would get up and kind of mingle and catch up,” she says. “So it was great. It was a big family reunion.”<\/p>\n However, according to Spencer, “every day is a party” at Good Morning America. “I’m not kidding you. It’s wild,” she says.<\/p>\n She adds, “It’s sometimes hard, but we laugh a lot, and it goes by really quick. There are many mornings that are not full of sunshine and rainbows, and I think Robin does a really great job at this \u2014 we just say it like it is and feel it like it is,” she tells PEOPLE.<\/p>\n “Not every day feels good in the studio, and that’s okay. That’s how life is.
