A simple goodnight post from a former DCU star has the fanbase buzzing about a possible Nightwing casting. Asher Angel, known for playing Billy Batson in Shazam!, has seemingly thrown his hat in the ring for the role of Dick Grayson<\/a>, also known as Nightwing.<\/p>\n

The Nightwing casting speculation started when Asher Angel took to social media with a seemingly innocuous post. The actor shared a picture of himself wearing a long-sleeve shirt prominently featuring the iconic Nightwing logo, captioning the image simply with \u201cgn.\u201d This cryptic choice of attire sent DC fans into a frenzy, with many interpreting it as a not-so-subtle hint.<\/p>\n

The post quickly filled with reactions from hopeful followers. One fan pleaded<\/a>, \u201cPlease be Nightwing in DCU,\u201d while another zeroed in on the symbol with a comment reading<\/a>, \u201cThat symbol\u2026\u201d <\/p>\n

A third fan humorously suggested Angel was already in character, quipping<\/a>, \u201cdid you dress up as yourself?\u201d This isn\u2019t the first time Angel has expressed interest in the character, having previously named Nightwing as his \u201cfavorite\u201d fancasting.<\/p>\n

The buzz around Nightwing\u2019s potential live-action debut has been building steadily. Recently, props for The Flying Graysons, which is the acrobatic troupe Dick Grayson hails from, were spotted on the set of the upcoming Clayface movie. Adding more weight to the speculation is an upcoming DC animated film. Titled Dynamic Duo, the project will focus on the complex relationship between Dick Grayson and Jason Todd. It\u2019s unconfirmed if Dynamic Duo will be part of the main DCU continuity.
