Tensions flared inside the Bigg Boss 19 house this week during a nomination task that quickly turned emotional. Contestants Tanya Mittal and Kunickaa Sadanand found themselves at the center of a heated exchange when Kunickaa made personal comments about Tanya’s upbringing and involved her mother during the task. The task required one contestant to provoke the other while keeping time, but things took a sensitive turn when Kunickaa questioned Tanya’s values and took a dig at her mother, leaving Tanya visibly hurt.

Tanya, who has previously spoken on the show about her difficult childhood, was seen breaking down in tears after the task. She recalled how her mother had always protected her from a violent home environment, expressing deep pain over Kunickaa’s words. Viewers and fellow contestants reacted strongly to the moment, criticizing Kunickaa for bringing family into a game-related disagreement.

Outside the house, the incident triggered a response from actress and former Bigg Boss winner Gauahar Khan. Taking to her official X account, Gauahar expressed disappointment over Kunickaa’s behavior and accused her of hypocrisy. She posted: Khud ke maa hone ki duhai dena, bahar ki baat mat karo n all that, n to actually state things on someone else’s mother so easily, is shocking. #DoubleStandardsMuch #BB19 Hope being 61 still makes u eligible for criticism. ?? ?????????? ??? ?? ?? ??? ?? ???? ???, ???? ?? ???.

Gauahar’s post quickly gained traction online, with many praising her for speaking up. Fans echoed her sentiment, calling out the double standards displayed by some contestants who demand respect but do not offer the same in return.

The controversy has reignited discussions around personal boundaries on reality television. While Bigg Boss thrives on strong personalities and conflicts, targeting a contestant’s family is widely seen as unacceptable. Whether Kunickaa will address the backlash remains to be seen, but the message from Gauahar and the audience is loud and clear.
