After Martin Scorsese<\/a>\u2018s Emmy-nominated cameo on The Studio<\/a>\u2018s pilot episode, the Apple TV+ series has apparently become the hottest ticket for many an A-list director.<\/p>\n

Co-creator and star Seth Rogen<\/a> recently detailed the \u201cvery meta\u201d experience of having to turn down some of his favorite directors who want to appear on the show, following the 4x Emmy-winning first season.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt does feel like I\u2019m running a fake movie studio at times,\u201d he told GQ<\/a>. \u201cI\u2019m having directors\u2019 agents call me to pitch their clients to be the directors of fake movies on our show, which is very weird and very meta. And I\u2019m having to actually turn down directors I\u2019m a big fan of because the movie, the fake movie, maybe isn\u2019t quite right for the fake package we have in our heads. So yeah\u2014it\u2019s gotten very strange.\u201d<\/p>\n
