{"id":12389,"date":"2025-09-09T19:57:08","date_gmt":"2025-09-09T19:57:08","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/nz\/12389\/"},"modified":"2025-09-09T19:57:08","modified_gmt":"2025-09-09T19:57:08","slug":"guillermo-del-toro-frankenstein-art-making-of-book-first-look","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/nz\/12389\/","title":{"rendered":"Guillermo del Toro Frankenstein Art &#038; Making Of Book: First Look"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/  a-font-body-m     \">\n\t<a href=\"https:\/\/www.hollywoodreporter.com\/t\/guillermo-del-toro\/\" id=\"auto-tag_guillermo-del-toro_1\" data-tag=\"guillermo-del-toro\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Guillermo del Toro<\/a> will be seemingly everywhere this fall.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/  a-font-body-m     \">\n\tHis adaptation of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.hollywoodreporter.com\/t\/frankenstein\/\" id=\"auto-tag_frankenstein_1\" data-tag=\"frankenstein\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Frankenstein<\/a> is lumbering through standing ovations at film festivals, Beyond Fest is throwing a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.hollywoodreporter.com\/movies\/movie-news\/guillermo-del-toro-12-movie-retrospective-beyond-fest-1236359786\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">12-film retrospective<\/a> beginning at the end of September, he\u2019s the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.afi.com\/news\/guillermo-del-toro-named-as-guest-artistic-director-of-afi-fest-2025-presented-by-canva\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">guest artistic director<\/a> at October\u2019s AFI Fest, and he\u2019s putting a selection of his renown memorabilia collection <a href=\"https:\/\/news.artnet.com\/art-world\/guillermo-del-toro-bleak-house-sale-2682610\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">up for auction<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/  a-font-body-m     \">\n\tAnd now he\u2019s hitting your bookshelves.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/  a-font-body-m     \">\n\tInsight Editions is set to publish The Art &amp; Making of Frankenstein: Written &amp; Directed by Guillermo del Toro, the official companion book to the filmmaker\u2019s Frankenstein movie, which is receiving a limited theatrical release Oct. 17 before hitting Netflix Nov. 7.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/  a-font-body-m     \">\n\tA look at the creative process and craftsmanship that brings Mary Shelley\u2019s gothic classic to the screen, the tome by Sheila O\u2019Malley is intended to give a behind-the-scenes look at the work done by the filmmaker and his cast, among them Oscar Isaac, Jacob Elordi, Mia Goth and Christoph Waltz.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/  a-font-body-m     \">\n\tAlso showcased will be the artisans behind the movie, concept art, of period-specific props, lush locations, beautiful costumes, and insights into the filmmaking process.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/  a-font-body-m     \">\n\tThe book features a foreword by Del Toro and an introduction by Isaac, who plays Victor Frankenstein.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/  a-font-body-m     \">\n\tThe hardcover goes <a href=\"https:\/\/geni.us\/gVCqJO\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">on sale<\/a> Oct. 28 and will retail for $75.00.
