Merge<\/p>\n
The merged tribe is the fourth tribe to have five Black players after Manihiki in Cook Islands, Nuinui in Survivor 46, and Niu Nai in Survivor 48.
\nThis is the first time that five Black players (Alex, Jawan, Kristina, MC, & Nate) made it to the jury phase on Survivor.<\/p>\n
In Survivor 46, Q, Soda, Tevin Tiffany, and Tim made it to the merge, but Tim was voted out before the jury.
\nIn Survivor 48, Cedrek, Joe, Kyle, Sai, and Star made it to the merge, but Sai was voted out before the jury.<\/p>\n
This is the first odd numbered season since Millennials vs. Gen X to have a black merge buff.<\/p>\n
Survivor 44, Winners at War, and\u00a0Ghost Island all had black merge buffs but were even numbered seasons.<\/p>\n
This is the 17th black tribe on Survivor and the 16th black merged tribe.<\/p>\n
Timbira in Tocantins is still the only black pre-merge tribe on Survivor.<\/p>\n
This is the first new era season not to have an \u201cEarn the Merge\u201d challenge.<\/p>\n
Instead, there was an \u201cearn the merge feast\u201d challenge.<\/p>\n
Hidden Immunity Idol\/Advantage<\/p>\n
All three players that found the beware advantage found their hidden immunity idol before losing a vote.<\/p>\n
Reward Challenge \u2013 \u201cRock n\u2019 Roll\u201d<\/p>\n
Variations of this challenge were used in Africa, Gabon, Survivor 41, Survivor 42, and\u00a0Survivor 44.<\/p>\n
This is the first time this challenge was used in the new era and it wasn\u2019t the \u201cEarn the Merge\u201d challenge.
\nAll three times this challenge wasn\u2019t used as an \u201cEarn the Merge\u201d challenge, a yellow tribe\/team won.<\/p>\n
Savannah is the only \u201cS\u201d player who didn\u2019t win the reward challenge\/partake in the merge feast.<\/p>\n
Immunity Challenge \u2013 \u201cBow Diddley\u201d<\/p>\n
Variations of this challenge were used in South Pacific, Cagayan, Cambodia, Millennials vs. Gen X, Edge of Extinction, Survivor 41, Survivor 42, and\u00a0Survivor 47.
\nSophie has won all of the challenges that she\/her tribe has competed in this season.<\/p>\n
She\u2019s set a new era record for making it to the final 10 in a season without being vulnerable\/able to be voted for.<\/p>\n
Confessionals<\/p>\n
MC, Sage, and Steven had the highest number of confessionals this episode with 7.
\nAlex and Rizo had the lowest number of confessionals this episode with 2.
\nSavannah currently has the most confessionals with 42.
\nKristina has the lowest confessional count with 11.
\nThis was the first episode that Sophie had more than 2 confessionals.<\/p>\n
It was also the first time since episode 4 where Sophie didn\u2019t have the lowest number of confessionals.<\/p>\n
Tribal Council<\/p>\n
Nate was voted out 7-4. He\u2019s the fourth player to be voted out 7-4 after Marty in Nicaragua, Hali in Worlds Apart, and Chris in Millennials vs. Gen X.<\/p>\n
Coincidentally, Chris and Nate were born one week apart from each other. Chris was born on April 1st, 1978, and Nate was born on April 8th, 1978.
\nEven more coincidentally, Chris is from Moore, OK and Nate\u2019s last name is Moore.
\nChris and Nate also won seven challenges in their respective seasons.<\/p>\n
He\u2019s the first person to be the merge boot and first jury member since Elizabeth in David vs. Goliath.
\nBoth players named Nate (Nate Gonzalez from Cook Islands and Nate Moore from Survivor 49) were the first player voted out at the merge, voted out from a black merged tribe, and were a member of the jury on their season.
\nNate is the first player since Matt in Survivor 44 to be voted out on day 14 and not be voted out alongside another player.<\/p>\n

Original Hina is the only tribe remaining that has everyone from one gender left in the game.<\/p>\n
All three Hina women (Kristina, MC, & Sophie) are still in the game.
\nMatt & Jason from Hina were voted out.
\nNate & Shannon from Uli were voted out.
\nAlex & Sophi are the only remaining man and woman from Kele.<\/p>\n
Pre-first swap, only original Kele members were eliminated, during the first swap tribes, only original Hina players were eliminated, and after the second swap, only original Uli members have been eliminated.<\/p>\n
Episode Title<\/p>\n
The episode title \u201cBlood Will be Drawn\u201d was said by Rizo at tribal council.<\/p>\n
This is his second episode title in a row.
\nAlex is still the only non-Uli member to have an episode title so far this season.
\nNobody from Hina has had an episode title yet.<\/p>\n
