As The Golden Bachelor<\/a>\u00a0approaches its end, the competition to win Barry \u2018Bear\u2019 Myrden<\/a>\u2019s heart is well and truly heating up. Sunday night\u2019s episode saw two fan favourites, 58-year-old CEO Sunny<\/a> and 60-year-old doctor Kim, clash at the cocktail party while discussing their individual connections with Bear.<\/p>\n

Tension had been brewing for quite some time between the pair, as Kim\u2019s dramatic arrival in a Porsche during the very first cocktail party<\/a> interrupted Sunny\u2019s one-on-one time with Bear. They then had a light-hearted tiff while discussing erotica novels, with Sunny saying she \u201cloved\u201d Fifty Shades of Grey because it was \u201ceye-opening\u201d, and Kim calling it \u201cyucky\u201d and \u201cboring\u201d.<\/p>\n

During Sunday night\u2019s episode, the pair had a very awkward conversation comparing their relationships with Bear and what he had told each of them.<\/p>\n

Kim, who has been twice widowed, then called Sunny out when she said she felt \u201cso sorry\u201d for Bear after he lost his wife to cancer 14 years ago.<\/p>\n

\u201cWhat I was always fearful of, having experienced the same sort of loss as Bear, is that people want to be with you because they feel sorry for you, and I think that\u2019s a trap you can fall into with someone who\u2019s lost someone,\u201d Kim shared.<\/p>\n

\u201cPeople who lose someone don\u2019t want to have people feel sorry for them.\u201d<\/p>\n

‘There’s an intense connection’<\/p>\n

Sunny, who has been very open about her connection with Bear, then asked Kim if she felt \u201cfriend-zoned\u201d by him, which she quickly shut down.<\/p>\n

\u201cDefinitely not a friendzone, definitely comfortable in a lover\u2019s way, and I don\u2019t feel sorry for him at all. I feel proud of him,\u201d Kim said.<\/p>\n

\u201cThere\u2019s an intense connection, and it will be devastating if it doesn\u2019t sort of come to fruition.\u201d<\/p>\n

At the rose ceremony, Bear chose to take Sunny, Kim, and Janette through to Hometowns, saying goodbye to Gera and Jan, who received the first impression rose.<\/p>\n

Kim speaks out about ‘drama’<\/p>\n

Kim spoke with Yahoo Lifestyle ahead of the season premiere last month and admitted that there was some \u201cdrama\u201d amongst the cast during filming.<\/p>\n

\u201cThere was drama, because you\u2019ll never get a whole bunch of anybody together without drama, but I don\u2019t think it was nasty drama,\u201d she detailed.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt was fun drama, it was powerful, we were all challenging each other and making ourselves do better. It was fun, but yes, there were moments of drama.\u201d<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, Sunny told Yahoo Lifestyle she had a \u201cwonderful time\u201d filming the show, but admitted it was difficult at first being surrounded by women after working in such a male-dominated field.<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019m in the IT industry, which is always men, so I hire men, I fire men, and I order them around. And suddenly, I\u2019m in a huge group of women,\u201d she remarked.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe first couple of days, I was thinking, \u2018Oh my god, what\u2019s going on?\u2019, but I enjoyed the camaraderie and the support everyone was giving to each other, and that was one of the best takeaways. It was beautiful.\u201d<\/p>\n
