The week is stacked with options for every taste among the new TV shows premiering on Netflix, Prime Video and other streaming services<\/a>, as well as cable and broadcast channels.<\/p>\n

Two very different shows return for their second seasons, though each has a lead in troubled territory. \u201cLandman\u201d returns with Billy Bob Thornton\u2019s Tommy Norris navigating oil empires, family drama and cartel threats. Meanwhile, “Palm Royale” sees Maxine Simmons scheming her way further into Palm Beach high society.<\/p>\n

If you’re a fan of psychological thrillers, you’re in luck. In \u201cThe Beast in Me,\u201d Claire Danes stars as a grieving author confronting dark secrets that could revive her career or destroy her. In \u201cMalice,\u201d a male nanny charms his way into a family but soon shows his dark side. Here’s our guide on the top new TV shows to check out this week.<\/p>\n

So much to watch, so little time! As far as TV shows, I’m currently watching “Poldark” on Netflix (addictive), “The Morning Show” on Apple TV (sigh) and “The Lowdown” on Hulu (a slow burn). Oh, and “Grey’s Anatomy” (yes, it’s still on).<\/p>\n

A new animated series picks up where \u201cMerry Little Batman\u201d left off, but this time, it\u2019s less \u201cdark knight\u201d and more \u201cdad night.\u201d With Luke Wilson leading the voice cast, \u201cBat-Fam\u201d mixes superhero action with sitcom heart.<\/p>\n

Bruce Wayne, his son Damian (aka Little Batman) and the ever-patient Alfred try to juggle life in Gotham with new houseguests. They include Alfred\u2019s wild grandniece, a reformed villain and Ra\u2019s al Ghul himself as a doting grandpa. Saving Gotham is a piece of cake compared to family dinners with this crew.<\/p>\n

Subtlety is still nowhere to be found in Palm Beach, and the second season of Apple\u2019s period comedy leans all the way in. After her infamous Beach Ball breakdown, Kristen Wiig\u2019s Maxine Dellacorte is now a full-blown pariah, desperate to claw her way back into the society she once nearly conquered. This year, she\u2019s scheming smarter, dressing louder and maybe even committing a light felony or two to get her crown back.<\/p>\n
