Last week, Nate Moore became the eighth person to be eliminated<\/a> from the \u201cSurvivor<\/a>\u201d island, as season 49 of the reality series<\/a> hots up. A former MCU<\/a> producer who had worked on the likes of \u201cBlack Panther\u201d and \u201cCaptain America: The Winter Soldier,\u201d he was voted out when Jawan Pitts and Sage Ahrens-Nichols<\/a> turned on him in an unexpected move.<\/p>\n

However, Moore has revealed that he had an endgame in mind if he managed to make it further into the competition.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Nate Moore Explains His Planned Strategy<\/p>\n

Discussing how he might have approached the later stages of \u201cSurvivor\u201d season 49<\/a> in an interview with Entertainment Weekly<\/a>, Moore detailed what he might have done if he had not been eliminated from the series. In particular, Moore knew that Rizo<\/a> posed perhaps the biggest threat and had tried to develop a way of beating him.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u201cI thought it was going to be hard to beat Rizo,\u201d he reveals. \u201cRizo is incredibly charming. He has a great story and I was not sure I could beat him. I thought Savannah<\/a> would\u2019ve been interesting, and again, those were sort of my core two.\u201d<\/p>\n

He continued, \u201cThe other people I wanted to play with were Sage and MC, actually. I had a conversation with MC where I said, \u2018Look, if you trust me, don\u2019t play your idol. I think you\u2019re safe, and I think we can go far in the game.\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n

Moore ultimately had to lie to Michelle \u201dMC\u201d Chukwujekwu<\/a> in order to protect himself at Tribal Council and this led to a situation where she would no longer work with him. Moore explains further, saying, \u201cSo she didn\u2019t trust anything I said when really, I was truthful that I wanted to play with MC.\u201d<\/p>\n

His plan would have come down to either going with Rizo and Savannah into the final or betraying them if they decided to become stronger allies with Sophi Balerdi.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u201cSo my plan was: Let\u2019s get to seven with old Uli, Sophi, and MC, and then maybe I would have to pick a path. Do I think I can get to the finals with Rizo and Savannah? I wouldn\u2019t mind it. If I felt like Rizo, Savannah, and Sophi were too tight, then at least I would have numbers if I had to flip the game with MC, Jawan, and Sage, was what I was thinking in my head. But obviously, life had different plans.\u201d<\/p>\n

Nate Turned Down An Immunity Idol<\/p>\n

Moore also recently revealed that he could have avoided his elimination if he had accepted an offer from Rizo to play his immunity idol for him<\/a>. That would have protected him at Tribal Council and ensured someone else was removed from the competition.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Moore, Rizo, and Savannah knew that one of the three of them would likely be the one to face elimination and Rizo had suggested he could play his idol to keep one of them safe.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u201cRizo offered to play it for me,\u201d says Nate. \u201cHe was like, \u2018Look, if I feel it\u2026.\u2019 And I, very dumbly, was like, \u2018Don\u2019t do that, man. You got to save it for yourself!\u2019 And I remember Savannah asking Rizo if he would play it for her, and he said, \u2018Maybe.\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n
