In an X post on November 10, Rain stated, \u201ci am giving out money to help those in need this week during the government shut down. if you or anyone you know needs assistance this week please drop any payment method below so i can lend a helping hand ?.\u201d<\/p>\n
The post soon gained momentum with many fans sending in their requests. However, things took a bizarre turn when a message from Uber\u2019s official account popped up in the replies. The now-deleted text read, \u201cXoxosamyo on PayPal,\u201d followed by a crying emoji and a pink heart with sparkles emoji.<\/p>\n
Despite being removed soon after, the text had already been captured by fans, who began sharing the screenshots online. In response, Rain shared another post saying, \u201cUber, you better start paying your social media interns more because this is CRAZY.\u201d<\/p>\n
The star addressed the issue again in an interview with The Blast<\/a>. \u201cDidn\u2019t think I\u2019d be Instacarting groceries to Uber this week, but here we are,\u201d Rain shared. \u201cI get hundreds of payment requests a day, but seeing a verified Uber account with crying emojis and a PayPal handle threw me.\u201d<\/p>\n Rain added, \u201cAt first, I thought someone hacked their account. Then I realized, no, this is probably just an underpaid intern trying to get fed like the rest of us. So I sent the money. What else am I gonna do, let Uber go hungry?\u201d<\/p>\n The OnlyFans star took the opportunity to directly address Uber as well, saying, \u201cIf your social media intern is out here publicly asking OnlyFans girls for help with groceries, maybe your company should take a break from the self-driving cars and pay them a livable wage.
