So, cooling emissions are growing and will double by 2050 if we do not adopt more sustainable cooling practices,” Do Coutto said.

“However, what the report has shown us is that there is a pathway, it is called the sustainable cooling pathway, that demonstrates that we can meet this demand for cooling that we all need while cutting emissions if we implement measures together,” she added.

Protesters confront security at talks venue

In other COP30 developments, a group of activists clashed with security on Tuesday night as they attempted to push their way into the main venue of the UN climate talks.

It wasn’t immediately clear if anyone was hurt in the incident, but at least four ambulances stood outside the venue in its aftermath.

By&nbspJerry Fisayo-Bambi&nbspwith&nbspAP Published on 12/11/2025 – 13:27 GMT+1 •Updated 13:37 Sustainable cooling must be prioritised as part of…

[22
25076,575,56613,90713,26462,273,111,139,69,147,16940
0":"post-131920","1":"post","2":"type-post","3":"status-publish","4":"format-standard","5":"has-post-thumbnail","7":"category-environment","8":"tag-amazonia","9":"tag-brazil","10":"tag-climate-crisis","11":"tag-climate-protests","12":"tag-cop30","13":"tag-environment","14":"tag-new-zealand","15":"tag-newzealand","16":"tag-nz","17":"tag-science","18":"tag-united-nations
["GET
