The arrest relates to purported threats made whilst the athlete was celebrating his stag party in Budapest.<\/p>\n
The incident prompted authorities to provide a police escort for the three-time Olympic gold medallist upon his arrival at Manchester Airport on Sunday. <\/p>\n
Staffordshire Police confirmed to The Sun they had arrested a man from the Uttoxeter area on November 11 on suspicion of harassment, releasing him on conditional bail whilst investigations continue.<\/p>\n
The arrest marks a dramatic escalation in tensions within the Peaty family ahead of swimmer Mr Peaty’s December wedding to Holly Ramsay, daughter of celebrity chef Gordon Ramsay.<\/p>\n
