Alex Rodriguez and his ex-wife Cynthia Rodriguez Nicolas<\/a> (n\u00e9e Scurtis) are tackling a touchy subject: The baller\u2019s alleged affair with Madonna<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\u201cAt that point, we got divorced,\u201d Cynthia explained on the November 13 episode of Alex Vs. ARod, according to Page Six<\/a>.<\/p>\n

As the outlet reports, the \u201cMaterial Girl\u201d singer\u2019s name was not mentioned in the episode, however a New York Post article with the headline \u201cA-Rod and Madonna Squeeze Play\u201d flashed on-screen in the docuseries.<\/p>\n

The retired New York Yankee star, 50, was married to Cynthia, 52, from 2002 to 2008, and they share two daughters: Natasha, 20, and Ella, 17.<\/p>\n

Back in 2008, rumors swirled that Madonna (who was then married to Guy Ritchie) and Rodriguez were having an affair, which both denied.<\/p>\n

Rodriguez told People<\/a> of his connection to Madonna, 67, \u201cWe\u2019re friends,\u201d further dispelling romance rumors by adding, \u201cWe\u2019re friends \u2013 that\u2019s it.\u201d<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, Madonna told People<\/a> in part: \u201cI am not romantically involved in any way with Alex Rodriguez.\u201d<\/p>\n

On the November 13 episode of the HBO series, Cynthia said of one of her ex\u2019s alleged affairs: \u201cHe seemed to be extremely apologetic and not proud of his actions,\u201d adding, \u201cI knew that he had his own demons, and I was hoping he would get help. I was hoping that it could end differently than it did.\u201d<\/p>\n

According to Page Six, Rodriguez said in the docuseries that he \u201ccould have been more loyal\u201d to his ex.<\/p>\n

\u201cIn hindsight, I could have been a better husband,\u201d said Rodriguez. \u201cI could have been more present. \u2026 I could have been more sympathetic, empathetic, all of it. You name it.\u201d<\/p>\n
