Since Becky\u2019s shock return, Costello has shown his determination to send his former colleague back to Alicante, even going as far to issue a threat on her life<\/a> if she doesn\u2019t skip town soon.<\/p>\n But for actor Daon, who plays Costello, it\u2019s not exactly clear cut whether his character would act on his cold words.<\/p>\n ITV<\/p>\n Related: Best streaming services<\/a><\/p>\n “It sounds like, \u2018That\u2019s what Costello is going to do, and he\u2019s fully capable of that,” he explained. “And a part of me think that he is capable of doing it, because he\u2019s got a lot riding on this. But I\u2019m going to leave people to decide who the real threat is between Becky and Costello\u2026”<\/p>\n Thus far, Lisa is none the wiser about Costello\u2019s tense dealings with Becky<\/a>, which is exactly how she and Costello want things to remain. In fact, Costello has gone to extreme lengths to hide his secrets from Lisa, given that the pair are constantly in each other\u2019s orbit at Weatherfield Police Station.<\/p>\n ITV<\/p>\n Related: Coronation Street lines up David and Shona row as baby secret is exposed<\/a><\/p>\n “It\u2019s very much a managing of the situation,” Daon explained. “Me and Vicky [Myers, who plays Lisa] spoke about that, in the way the relationship develops, it\u2019s almost like a coercive control relationship, because Costello is managing Lisa and the information that she receives, and managing what she perceives the situation to be. It\u2019s a really enigmatic relationship between the two.<\/p>\n “There\u2019s an element of massive manipulation,” he added. “Costello is probably a narcissist.
