Apple TV has finally heard our calls, and we now have our first preview of the Monsterverse series Monarch: Legacy of Monsters Season 2. Season 2 introduced Chris Black as the showrunner. With the release of the season\u2019s first trailer, it\u2019s clear that Kurt Russell is back, and Kong is making his debut.<\/p>\n

Our critic had this to say about Monarch: Legacy of Monsters Season 1<\/a>: \u201cMonarch: Legacy of Monsters makes the majority of the shots that it takes. Even though the 2015 storyline isn\u2019t as strong as that in the 1950s, it is still engaging enough to hold on, especially when Cate is laying her trauma bare. Sometimes, the series buckles under the weight of its massive ensemble, but it ultimately succeeds in expanding the Monsterverse\u2019s lore, Titans, and future.\u201d<\/p>\n

Monarch: Legacy of Monsters\u2019 first season consisted of 10 episodes and followed two siblings as they sought to uncover their family\u2019s connection to the secretive organization known as Monarch.<\/p>\n

Clues lead them into the world of monsters and ultimately down the rabbit hole to Army officer Lee Shaw (played by Kurt Russell and Wyatt Russell), taking place in the 1950s and half a century later, where Monarch is threatened by what Shaw knows.<\/p>\n
