Ashley Darby<\/a> isn\u2019t afraid to admit that she regrets the comments she made following Dr. Wendy Osefo<\/a>\u2019s arrest<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\u201cI was maybe a little shady. I kind of take it back a little bit,\u201d Ashley exclusively told Us Weekly of her remarks while walking the BravoCon 2025<\/a> red carpet on Friday, November 14. \u201cI hit a little too hard a little too fast. I can acknowledge that, but I am worried about her, and I hope she\u2019s OK, honestly.\u201d<\/p>\n

In October, a grand jury indicted both Wendy and her husband, Eddie Osefo, for insurance fraud, conspiracy to commit insurance fraud and making a false statement to a police officer.<\/p>\n

The pair have denied the allegations and vowed to fight the charges, with a rep for the couple<\/a> telling Us, \u201cThe Osefos, alongside their legal team, look forward to their day in court.\u201d<\/p>\n

Hours after Wendy\u2019s arrest made news, Ashley made comments at a public show<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe\u2019re making melodies, not felonies, if you know what I mean,\u201d she said while performing at Mr. Henry\u2019s in Washington, D.C., on October 10. \u201cI\u2019m just throwing it out there. In case there\u2019s some confusion, that\u2019s what we\u2019re doing around here. That\u2019s all I\u2019m doing here. Just making melodies. This ain\u2019t news to us. This just news to y\u2019all.\u201d<\/p>\n

During the Potomac Takes Vegas panel presented by Hilton on Friday, Ashley offered a public apology to Wendy.<\/p>\n

\u201cI can admit that I was maybe a little hot in the pants about what I said about Wendy,\u201d she said during the cast reunion<\/a>, moderated by Zuri Hall. \u201cWhen I thought about it later, it wasn\u2019t the time or the place. Honestly, I said it light-heartedly but I realize that this is in no way a light-hearted situation for Wendy, so I do want to say I\u2019m sorry for how hot I came for Wendy and I mean it.\u201d<\/p>\n

According to Ashley, she tried to talk to Wendy backstage but, \u201cYou didn\u2019t wanna talk to me so I receive that. I\u2019m simply saying what I need to say and I mean it. You can either take it or not.\u201d<\/p>\n

Wendy replied, \u201cWell, I will not. Thank you God.\u201d<\/p>\n

In the revealing panel, Wendy said she quickly<\/a> heard from costars Stacey Rusch and Monique Samuels after the arrest. She also expressed gratitude to the fans for being supportive.<\/p>\n

\u201cI read your messages. I can\u2019t respond to everyone, but your love and support means the world to me,\u201d she said. \u201cYou know, it\u2019s an unfortunate situation, and right now I can\u2019t say too much, but I will say when the time is right, I will share my story with everyone, and for now they\u2019re just allegations, so we will continue to push forward.\u201d<\/p>\n

While speaking on the red carpet, Ashley said she first learned about Wendy\u2019s arrest when she was at her kid\u2019s school delivering PTA lunches to teachers. At first, she couldn\u2019t believe what she was reading.<\/p>\n

\u201cSomeone sent it to me, and I was like, \u2018Why are you sending me this foolishness?\u2019\u201d she recalled. \u201cI\u2019ve just seen Wendy a few days prior, and everything was fine. So once more news came out, it was shocking and jarring.\u201d<\/p>\n
