The Real Housewives of Orange County\u2019s Tamra Judge<\/a> is just like Us \u2014 shocked that Vicki Gunvalson<\/a> will be returning for season 20<\/a> of the hit Bravo show.<\/p>\n

\u201cNo, I did not know it was gonna go down,\u201d Tamra, 58, exclusively told Us Weekly while attending BravoCon 2025<\/a> in Las Vegas, Nevada on Saturday, November 15. \u201cI\u2019ve been, you know, spending a little time with Vicki lately and talking with her. And I\u2019m like, \u2018Have you got any news?\u2019 You know, normally we don\u2019t get news about next season till about December or January. So she\u2019s like, \u2018No, I haven\u2019t heard anything.\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n

She continued, \u201cSo yeah, she was totally surprised. Totally surprised.\u201d<\/p>\n

Vicki\u2019s triumphant return to reality TV was announced on Saturday, when Andy Cohen<\/a> ceremoniously gifted her with an orange on the BravoCon stage during the The Bravos award show, signifying her return to the show she helped launch 20 years ago.<\/p>\n

\n\t\t\tAccording to Emily Simpson, Vicki Gunvalson\u2019s The Real Housewives of Orange County return brought an underlying animosity. While speaking with Us Weekly at BravoCon 2025 on Friday, November 14, Emily, 49, revealed that she recently ran into Vicki, 63, on the red carpet. \u201cShe was, like, \u2018Well, I still don\u2019t trust her. I don\u2019t trust [\u2026]\t\t<\/p>\n

\u201cWhen I went out there, Andy wanted to give Kandi Burruss<\/a> the Wifetime Achievement Award, and he gave me a weeks\u2019 notice,\u201d Vicki exclusively told Us on Sunday of what led to the memorable on-stage moment. \u201cI prepared a speech, and I went up on stage, and it wasn\u2019t on the prompter.\u201d<\/p>\n

Vicki, 63, continued, \u201cWhen he asked me about season 20<\/a>, I was really somber going out there because I thought, \u2018This is my last time on stage. This is my last time with BravoCon. They\u2019re putting me out to pasture. I\u2019m going to kick and scream the whole way out, but I\u2019m going to do it.\u2019 And then, when he asked me, it took a while for me to understand that this is my next life now for at least a year.\u201d<\/p>\n

On Saturday, Tamra told Us how she felt in that moment, watching her friend be formally invited back to the show.<\/p>\n

\u201cI was so happy,\u201d she told Us. \u201cSo, Eddie [Judge] was sitting with Mike [Smith], who we absolutely adore, [Vicki\u2019s] boyfriend of, like, four years.\u201d<\/p>\n

Tamra then asked her husband how Mike reacted to the moment in the crowd.<\/p>\n

\u201cHe\u2019s like, his jaw dropped,\u201d she dished to us of Michael\u2019s reaction to his girlfriend having her BravoCon moment. \u201cAnd he\u2019s like, \u2018Oh my god, this is happening.\u2019 Because he\u2019s much like Eddie, where he\u2019s like, \u2018OK, you do your stuff. I\u2019m gonna go sit over in the corner.\u2019 So now, Eddie will have somebody to hang out with.\u201d<\/p>\n

Vicki, who left the show in 2020, also shared with Us how her boyfriend has been supporting her as she prepares to once again live life in front of the reality TV cameras \u2014 a decision she made clear was ultimately hers and hers alone.<\/p>\n

\u201cI said to him last night, \u2018Are you OK with this?\u201d Vicki told Us. \u201cIt\u2019s an equal relationship. It\u2019s not anyone powering over the other one. He doesn\u2019t control me. I don\u2019t control him. If he said to me, \u2018I really wish you didn\u2019t do it,\u2019 I [would be like], \u2018Goodbye.\u2019 I\u2019m not listening to him.
