\n\tSeth Meyers<\/a> and Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene\u00a0have found unlikely common ground. During Monday\u2019s \u201cA Closer Look\u201d segment on Late Night With Seth Meyers<\/a>, the host fired back at President Donald Trump<\/a>\u2018s calls over the weekend for NBC to fire him<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cYou guys! They said my name on TV! It\u2019s not often you hear the name Seth Meyers on TV before midnight,\u201d joked Meyers when remarking on the media\u2019s coverage. \u201cI\u2019m also aware that being attacked by the president this weekend doesn\u2019t make me special in any way, shape or form. I was simply on the same shit list as Christopher Wray, James Comey, Indiana Republicans, Thomas Massie, Rand Paul,\u00a0Marjorie Taylor Greene,\u00a0and and former President Joe Biden.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cI want to clarify that I take no issue with the president voicing his displeasure with my show. That is his right, and on a lot of nights, he\u2019s got a point,\u201d continued Myers, before taking issue with the president\u2019s grammar. \u201cBut I would like to unpack this sentence from Trump\u2019s post about me: \u2018He was viewed last night in an uncontrollable rage.\u2019 Not to repeat something I\u2019m sure you\u2019ve heard many times over the years from your English teachers, but what\u2019s with the passive voice my man?\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tMeyers then segued into Trump\u2019s \u201cfeud with Republicans over the Epstein files,\u201d and his MAGA civil war with Greene<\/a>, who was once one of the president\u2019s staunchest allies. The Georgia Republican has been pushing for the Department of Justice to release the files and even signed onto a\u00a0discharge petition<\/a>, along with Democrats and three of her Republican colleagues, demanding the files be made public. <\/p>\n

\n\tTrump has since called the congresswoman a \u201ctraitor\u201d on Truth Social, and on Friday, pulled his endorsement and support of Greene.<\/p>\n

The only difference is, she got a cool nickname: \u2018Marjorie Traitor Greene\u2019 is way cooler than \u2018Marble Mouth Meyers.\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tMeyers previously\u00a0mocked Trump<\/a>\u00a0over how his administration has been responding to the recently released batch of Jeffrey Epstein emails, in which Epstein claimed that\u00a0Trump \u201cknew about the girls<\/a>\u201d in Epstein\u2019s sex trafficking case. As the House prepares to vote Tuesday, Trump dropped his longstanding resistance and said he would sign a bill that would order the DOJ\u00a0to release all the files tied to the convicted sex offender.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"Seth Meyers and Rep.
