Image \/ Flight Aware<\/p>\n<p class=\"\">Passengers travelling to Rarotonga today clocked in nearly eight hours of flight time after an Air New Zealand aircraft was unable to land.<\/p>\n<p class=\"\">Flight ANZ946 departed from Auckland Airport this morning at 9.02am and was scheduled to land about 12.30pm NZ time.<\/p>\n<p class=\"\">\n         But the aircraft was turned around close to<br \/>\n         Avarua, arriving back in Auckland at 4.50pm.\n        <\/p>\n<p class=\"wzdDHKkU\" style=\"display:none\">Air New Zealand\u2019s chief operating officer Alex Marren said the plane faced poor landing conditions due to \u201cadverse weather\u201d on the ground.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wzdDHKkU\" style=\"display:none\">An additional flight has been scheduled for affected passengers tomorrow.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"Subscribe to listenAccess to Herald Premium articles require a Premium subscription.
