{"id":143695,"date":"2025-11-19T22:31:11","date_gmt":"2025-11-19T22:31:11","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/nz\/143695\/"},"modified":"2025-11-19T22:31:11","modified_gmt":"2025-11-19T22:31:11","slug":"3-rising-stars-from-ghana-chosen-for-global-startup-accelerator-programme","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/nz\/143695\/","title":{"rendered":"3 rising stars from Ghana chosen for global startup accelerator programme"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"article-image\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.ghanaweb.com\/GhanaHomePage\/business\/3-rising-stars-from-Ghana-chosen-for-global-startup-accelerator-programme-2010166?gallery=1\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/nz\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/11\/59439424.295.jpg\" alt=\"3 startup founders have been selected for a leading global startup programme\" title=\"3 startup founders have been selected for a leading global startup programme\" width=\"295\" height=\"197\" \/> <\/a>3 startup founders have been selected for a leading global startup programme<\/p>\n<p id=\"article-123\">Three rising stars from Ghana have been chosen for a leading global startup accelerator programme to turbocharge their businesses. <\/p>\n<p>The startup founders were selected for the highly competitive programme which assessed applications from more than 1,800 companies across 44 eligible countries and territories.   <\/p>\n<p>The successful startups and founders are:  <br \/>&#13;<br \/>\n\u2022 PureLube \u2013 Fareeda Mustapha<\/p>\n<p>A co-friendly, high-performance grease made from cashew shells for automotive and industrial use. <\/p>\n<p>\u2022 ShaQ Express \u2013 Anthony Owusu-Ansah <br \/>&#13;<br \/>\nTech-powered green logistics company enabling last-mile delivery with electric bikes in Ghana. <\/p>\n<p>\u2022 SnooCODERED \u2013 Dr Nana Serwaa Quao <br \/>&#13;<br \/>\nDelivers emergency logistics software to improve healthcare in hard-to-reach areas. <\/p>\n<p>The Commonwealth Startup Fellowship (CSF) empowers early-stage entrepreneurs from across the Commonwealth to address global development challenges through innovation and enterprise.  <\/p>\n<p>They will begin their journey with a bootcamp in Accra, Ghana in 17-28 November. Two of the Fellows from Ghana are funded by Imperial Global Ghana \u2013 Imperial&#8217;s African hub based in Accra. <\/p>\n<p>Imperial Global Ghana, Imperial College London\u2019s hub in Accra, supports hundreds of academics and entrepreneurs in West Africa by strengthening collaboration on research, technology, education and entrepreneurship between West Africa and the UK.   <\/p>\n<p>The bootcamp is being hosted at Affinity Africa, founded by Imperial alum Tarek Mouganie. <\/p>\n<p>This year 23 new Fellows were selected for the highly competitive programme which assessed applications from more than 1,800 companies across 44 eligible countries and territories.   <\/p>\n<p>The successful Fellows come from countries including: Bangladesh, Botswana, Ghana, India, Jamaica, Kenya, Nigeria, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Tanzania and Uganda. <br \/>&#13;<br \/>\nThe programme sees the Fellows participate in a six-month programme of workshops, mentorship, and coaching to kick-start their business development journey. <\/p>\n<p>The programme culminates with an investor showcase in London in May 2026. <br \/>&#13;<br \/>\nThe Commonwealth Startup Fellowship is a flagship Commonwealth Scholarship Commission (CSC) programme funded by the UK government and delivered in partnership with Imperial.  <\/p>\n<p>The high\u2011potential startups are all from low\u2011 and middle\u2011income Commonwealth <br \/>&#13;<br \/>\ncountries and the programme will equip the entrepreneurs to build thriving businesses, scale operations effectively, and drive job creation in their home countries.   <\/p>\n<p>Clare Turner, Associate Director, Imperial Global Ghana, said: \u201cThese three inspiring Ghanaian entrepreneurs are tackling real-world challenges with bold, locally driven innovation.
