Analysis: The Government\u2019s surprise reforms to the carbon market have seen the price of pollution drop from $52 to $33, before recovering slightly to between $41 and $44 over the past couple of weeks.<\/p>\n

The turmoil in the market \u2013 November 5 saw the second-largest single day drop on record \u2013 has prompted rare responses from the Minister of Climate Change and the Ministry for the Environment.<\/p>\n
